Carrie Turnbull, DVM
Dr. Carrie Turnbull is the owner and chief veterinarian at Staunton River Vet Clinic. She is a 2006 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and a 2000 graduate of Roanoke College with a bachelorâÂÂs degree in Biology and a minor in music.
Though she was born and raised in the Roanoke Valley, she spent five years working as a veterinarian in private practice in the Washington, D.C., metro area before returning to her home in 2011. Since purchasing Staunton River Veterinary Clinic in 2011, Dr. Carrie is focused on continuing to build strong partnerships in the community for the benefit of animals and their owners.
She is especially interested in animal behavior and educating pet owners on how to keep their four-legged family members healthy. When sheâÂÂs not at work, youâÂÂll find her along with her husband and their two little girls hiking the many wonderful trails this region has to offer.
Virginia "Ginny" Tatum, DVM
